I was cruising pinterest the other day, when I stumbled upon this link:
It has music of all genres for all ages that promote being a “Mighty Girl”.
What’s a mighty girl? (Mighty guys exist too, it’s essentially the same kind of thing.)
— A girl who is self confident, sure of herself, kind, and smart, one way or another.
I’m a mighty girl. Are you? :)
I’ll probably post another post about gender discrimination and all of that later, but not now. See you next time.
The last day of NaBloPoMo!
In my blog, there were 42 posts this month. :D
I wrote almost 4000 words in my novel. :)
It’s a pretty big feat for me… Though others have accomplished even more this month. :)
In addition to being NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) it was also NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). Really, I think November should just be “NaWriMo”, National Writing Month.
Anywho, to celebrate the end of NaBloPoMo, here’s a song. :)
Thanks for writing. Thanks for reading!
And Happy December. :)
NaBloPoMo: Day 24
O. M. G. There’s only 6 days of NaBloPoMo left!
This is going by fast. :)
I do have something to confess; I still have not watched the Day of The Doctor! Too unwilling to let go of Matt Smith.
Also, there’s this song and I can’t remember what it is!!!
It goes like this:
“And I’m dying just to know your name,
’cause I need you here with me now,
Cause you’ve got that, one, thing!
So get out, get out,
Get out of my head,
And fall into my arms instead!
I don’t, I don’t know what it is…
But I need that one thing”
It’s been driving me crazy.
Anybody know what it’s called? Anybody?
Day 23 of NaBloPoMo
<3 Feeling overflowingly happy today, so I just wanted to share the joy. ^-^

Make some hot cocoa!
(Original recipe makes 4 servings)
Combine the cocoa, sugar and pinch of salt in a saucepan. Blend in the boiling water. Bring this mixture to an easy boil while you stir. Simmer and stir for about 2 minutes. Watch that it doesn’t scorch. Stir in 3 1/2 cups of milk and heat until very hot, but do not boil! Remove from heat and add vanilla. Divide between 4 mugs. Add the cream to the mugs of cocoa to cool it to drinking temperature. Enjoy!
Get a blanket and a good book. :) (Or the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who)
NaBloPoMo: Day 15
Halfway done with the month!
Whew! Finally done with that school project. :)
Hey guys! :P
I wanted to share this AMAZING music site.
Why is it amazing? Because it’s free. With no advertisements. The only ad-like thing is a new song that rdio is promoting. They only play very occasionally. And it’s a great way to discover new music! :D
I urge all of you to check it out. lol
The soundtrack! Brave New World – Aldous Huxley
Opening title song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozitqabi6UM Technologic by Daft Punk
Why? This song briefly paints a picture of how humans have become regulated. How technological everything is is this future dystopia.
In the scene where they are touring the embryo part of the hatcheries: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOvgR_mWGco Bring Me to Life by Evanescence
Why? All of these embryos are lives. Canned, frozen, jarred, with the lid screwed on tight. Some are purposely disabled. Some are mentally boosted. Bringing them to life… Also, this doubles as society crying out.
When they are seeing the conditioning of the baby Deltas: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjX2KYuAJcA Life Is Beautiful by Sixx A.M.
Why? A pretty beginning and theme “Life is beautiful!” But underneath, it’s talking about how corrupt this is. Same principle applying here? I think so.
When they are walking through the place outside when the children play: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyhrYis509A Barbie Girl by Aqua
Why? It’s modernizing and sexualizing youth. Toddlers singing/hearing this? Creepy! The song applies. “I’m a barbie girl, in my barbie world. You can brush my hair, undress me everywhere.”
When Fanny is telling Lenina she should be more promiscuous: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzumsXtyCW4 Good Time by Owl City
Why? “We must make the effort [not to be faithful].” As Fanny says, and as the song goes, “It’s always a good time!” So the song should be an accurate representation of what Lenina should be doing, rather than being faithful.
I know it’s past midnight. However, I just remembered that I had yet to post for NaBloPoMo! I’m feeling particularly fluffy and girly and such, so here’s a love song. :) <3
Sorry this post is so late!
